Agadir has a growing cafe scene, and some of these places are genuinely good for remote work — fast wifi, power outlets, and somewhere you can sit for a few hours without feeling guilty about one coffee.

What to look for

Fast, reliable wifi is the main thing. Air conditioning matters in summer (some cafes get very hot in the afternoon). Power outlets that are actually accessible — not hidden behind furniture. Staff who understand that remote workers exist and won’t give you looks for staying more than an hour.

City centre vs marina

City centre cafes tend to be cheaper and more local. The vibe is different — more Moroccan cafe culture, less international co-working aesthetic. Marina and beach-area cafes are more international in feel, usually have better wifi infrastructure, and you’re more likely to find other remote workers. But you’re paying more for everything.

What you’ll typically pay

Coffee: 15-25 MAD in a local cafe, 25-40 MAD in a more international place. You’ll rarely get hassled to buy more if you’re there for a few hours, especially if you’re clearly working. Order a coffee and maybe a juice or snack every couple of hours and everyone’s happy.

SIM cards for backup

Worth having a local SIM with a data plan as backup. Maroc Telecom, Orange, and Inwi all have coverage in Agadir. A month’s data plan is very cheap. If the cafe wifi is unreliable, you’re covered.
